Thinking Day Celebrations!!

It has been awhile, so it is now time to catch up on what we have done this year. Our Brownies have had a very busy couple of months with many outings, camps and activities in our meetings.

We celebrated Thinking Day by doing a sleepover at the church with a Girl Guide Unit.  This gave the girls the opportunity to mix and mingle with other Guiding sisters. We completed the 5 region challenge from Alberta.  All of us had the opportunity to try new foods such as: Jamaican Beef Patties, won ton soup, chicken enchiladas, sauerkraut, perogies and much more.  We also tried our hand at some games from other countries and attempted the Irish Jig.

We finished off the weekend with a flag ceremony and reciting our promise in front of the church congregation.  We were treated after with a wonderful luncheon put on by the church.

As a unit, we celebrated Thinking Day by playing a large life size board game. The girls traveled in teams of two around the "board game" answering questions about: Brownies, the history of Girl Guides, WAGGGS, and the world centers.

The girls throughly enjoyed the game.   If anybody would like the instructions and some questions please feel free to contact me by filling out a blog contact form.
